The old new west.

Run down "frites" stands, old homes and retrofuturistic roundcubehoses all over and tired men trying to make something of it all. And then there is a youth gone wild, with some kind of funny t-shirt, probably high or drunk on something most people use for something else, probably "huffing" gas or paint. The man with the glasses is the smartest man in town, but no one will ever know.

Live in something

This one is about the depressionera and about living in big old trees in groups of men. And there is a funny little cat up here, looking for some fishbones, or fish-heads in the trashcan. Its great how someone living in a big tree might still feel a need for some of the fixings of a normal life. And its comming back now, even if we dont see much of it in Norway, the world is full of strange ways to live, with satelitedishes on the sides of caves and so on.. Its probably much easier to be delighted by this way of life when you see it from a nice stable house, but I know I wont see enough homemade homes any time soon.

Gemo army

This is a split tribute to my old war comics and to the graffiti twins from Brazil known as Os Gemos. I have always loved the colorfull heads and figures they paint and from time to time I find myself thinking "what would the Gemos do ?" when Im having a hard time figuring out my next step in a painting or something. The bodies is more like the small "combat" comicbooklets that were popular when I was a child. Popular for me, not something all the kids liked. But they were good, great and simple drawings of world war 2. I would sit and look at them and learn how to draw tanks and uniforms, while others would learn how to swim and play football.
